We operate a Career Guidance and Support Service, targeted at the following groups
- Individuals currently not in school, but with education levels of PUC (Std XII) & lower and who are looking for their first job or advancement in their current career
- Students in grades X and XII who would like to start on a career path as soon as possible
Our service holistically addresses the barriers faced by youth from low income backgrounds, through the following integrated initiatives.
Career Awareness and Motivation Program (CAMP)
- tackle low and uninformed aspirations by providing exposure to relevant careers.
- help the individual understand her self - her aptitude, interests, constraints and advantages - and make relevant career choices that she *and her family* can commit to.
- identify skill and qualification gaps that need to be addressed.
CAMP is part of our overall goal of working with government schools to institute career guidance services to their students, starting from the 9th grade. Our aim is to provision trained counselors, backed by an IT system that can provide the latest information about jobs, in-demand skills etc, to provide relevant guidance and ensure the necessary follow up with the students.
This service will be free, both to the student and the school.
